Candidate for State Party Chairman, Pastor Mark Morris, was invited to speak at the first meeting of the Weld County Republican Party since its successful effort to fight off current State Party Leaders from taking
control of the Weld County Party.
“It was my honor stand with Chairman Hunter Rivera and his team to affirm County Party autonomy and pledge an end to oppressive top down rhetoric and disrespect for local control.” Morris also unveiled his vision for
the future of the State Party Leadership.
Hosted at the Headquarters of Roche Constructors, Inc. before Weld Party officials, local candidates and interested voters, Candidate Morris said, “Now More than ever we need a Republican Party in Colorado with
leadership that is focused on basics and posses the fire in the belly to win and win big! Our vision of limited government, personal responsibility, low taxes, and economic prosperity for all will win the day. But we cannot
stand on the sidelines nor can we remain a party divided and fractured. Current party leadership has lost its way and has failed to unite us. It has caused deepening rifts between party factions that must come together
if we are to go forward toward a new reality of political balance in Colorado.”
‘‘It gets worse,” Morris decried. “The Republican National Committee has washed its hands of us. Meanwhile, major donors are withholding massive financial support waiting for a ‘new sheriff’ to take over and restore law
and order to the party. Frankly, our magnificent Republican brand has been severely damaged. But I bring good news. I am that new sheriff and I will, if you elect me, restore statesmanship, honor, integrity and dignity to
the Chairmanship of our party. I offer new blood, a fresh face, an innovative plan, no political baggage, and a clear choice to wipe the slate clean.”
“But I caution you,’” he added. “Be mindful not to leave any elements of the outgoing regime behind, for that will be viewed with great skepticism and mistrust. Wipe clean the slate, I say, and with God’s help, I will bring
the full force of my experience in political and corporate management. I will regain the trust and respect of the RNC and donors. I will heal the fractures that devide us. And I will repair the damage to our brand.”
A huge thank you to Sharona Bishop and Kim Munson for hosting a well-organized and engaging debate for the Colorado GOP Chair race. Their professionalism
and dedication to conservative values created the perfect platform for candidates to share their vision for the future of the Republican Party in Colorado.
During the debate, Mark Morris stood out by clearly outlining his qualifications and experience, demonstrating why he is the right choice for Chairman. He
effectively contrasted his leadership approach and vision with the other candidates, emphasizing the need for strong grassroots engagement, strategic
fundraising, and a unified party to win elections. His performance highlighted his deep understanding of what it will take to rebuild and strengthen the
Colorado GOP.
The debate was an important step in ensuring Republicans across Colorado are informed and engaged in choosing the best leader to guide the party forward.
Thanks again to Sharona Bishop and Kim Munson for providing a space for these critical discussions!
I was honored to meet a true American Hero, Rebecca Lavrenz, known as the ‘Praying Grandma’ at a meeting of Aglow at New Freedom Outreach Center, Berthoud, CO.
Rebecca Lavrenz was made a political target by the Biden Administration and labeled a J6er for being present to pray at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2020.
Rebecca was unjustly arrested, prosecuted, tried, convicted and sentenced to house arrest and a fine of over $100K. This Godly woman refused to surrender her convictions
and has stood tall through the entire ordeal. She has since been pardoned by President Trump. One can only wonder how well one would have held up if one had been in her
shoes? America needs more Godly citizens to stand up and be counted. Amen.
Focus on Common-Sense, Winning Issues will be a Priority Under Morris
Along time ago in a land far, far away…Candidate for Republican State Party Chair, and former Officer Mark Morris served the good people of Walnut Creek, CA (San Francisco Bay
Area). “I only wore a badge for few short years in the 1970s, but it was one of the great experiences of my life,” Morris said. “Having been there I know what an immense
responsibility it is and I have great respect for those who are called to serve and protect us.”
Protecting freedom and keeping our communities safe is a major platform of President Trump. In Colorado, law and order is a key issue for our Party and candidates to run on in the
upcoming mid-terms. Under my leadership, we will make it a high priority to invest resources to help conservatives win on this issue. Succinct, common-sense messaging will be
critical to broaden our base and pull unaffiliated voters into the red column. Gabe Evans (CD8) campaign was a perfect example of how focusing on winning issues leads to
victories. I am thankful to have worked on Gabe’s campaign as Faith Advisor, a role I continue to serve in for Congressman Evans.
Personal Life
My life journey began in Pasadena, California, which I still consider my home town, though I grew up in
several Northeast Los Angeles communities. As a young adult, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where
I lived and worked for 14 years. It was during a brief two years back in Southern California that I met my
amazing wife Karen, and we soon relocated to Lake Tahoe, Nevada. It was there that I wrote my first book,
“Billy Goat Hill”, a novel, published by Random House. Six years later we again moved North to Bend,
Oregon where we resided for 12 years. Then it was game on to Hilton Head, South Carolina for three years
until we (at last!) settled in Colorado in 2015. We built a home in Berthoud, Colorado in 2021 where I dearly
hope we stay put for good! (Oh yeah, along the way there was a brief one year hiatus in Las Vegas, but what
happened there stays there.). Two daughters, one son, and three grandchildren comprise the Morris brigade
today. It has been quite a journey indeed.
Professional Life
Eight years as a professional musician, Recording Artist, and founding member of the band “DCHawk” on
Universal/MCA Records. Nine years with USDA/Forest Service, Engineering Division, Geotechnical and
Materials Engineering Branch. Four years as a Police Officer, Walnut Creek, CA. Nine years as co-owner of
TEI International, Consulting Engineers, three years President/CEO, Scientific NRG, Inc. And 25 years as a
Christian Minister, now retired volunteering full-time as an ordained Pastor and Outreach Liaison with New
Freedom Outreach Center, Berthoud, Colorado. All of my adult life I have been a writer and story teller. I am
a graduate of Diablo Valley College, Pleasant Hill, CA. and have pursued an eclectic array of studies
throughout my life that if there was a way to combine them I probably would have several PhDs. But, alas,
who cares? Right?
Political Life
I was converted to conservative thought by William F. Buckley Jr. and later to the Republican Party by
Ronald Reagan. Since committing my life to serving in ministry beginning in 1997, I have been an outspoken
member of the clergy urging church leaders to embrace activism not pacifism in matters of cultural
engagement, government and politics. Always urging cultural warfare wielding the sword of love per the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. Over the years in California, Nevada, Oregon, South Carolina and Colorado I have
financially invested in conservative causes and volunteered/supported Republican candidates seeking
election to school boards, city councils, mayoral races, state legislators, US Congressional races, and three
candidates for POTUS. Notable of these perhaps is Newt Gingrich’s presidential campaign, re-election
campaigns of Congressman Greg Walden of Oregon, and recently the election of Congressman Gabe Evans
in Colorado’s 8th district. (For whom I serve as Faith Advisor.) All along the way, I have been an
activist/mobilizer/educator for pro-life, at-risk youth, fighting global human trafficking, criminal justice
reform, and law enforcement issues.
